Agong Nine 1st to 5th hole

Agong Nine - 1st to 5th hole

1st Hole Par 5 - 512 meters

This is a very mild dog-leg to the left par 5 which allows the golfer to open up on the drive to easily fly the drain. The two bunkers on the right and left of the fairway will not in most cases come in play. A long draw ball second shot is favoured to attack a back placed pin position to eliminate the left green side bunker. However, when pin position is centre, a straightforward shot suffices. There is an exaggerated drop on the back of this elongated green.

2nd Hole Par 4 - 405 meters

This low stroke index hole favours a fade tee shot. Placing the tee shot to the right of the fairway opens a relatively large green, otherwise, the left can present a host of problems in the likes of low hanging branches and a tree which will partially obstruct the second shot to the green. this slightly elevated green has again a mild drop from rear to the front of the green. there is a pond at the rear of the green.

3rd Hole Par 4 - 325 meters

On this short narrow fairway par 4 the player will be rewarded after a wellplaced tee shot to the right off centre providing an easy approach to a relatively leve! kidney shape green which is guarded by bunkers on the left and the right.

4th Hole Par 3 - 186 meters

This is a straightforward par 3 with bunkers to the front, left and right of the green. The tee shot could differ two club lengths if the pin is shifted from centre to back. The green breaks from back right to front left with some drop exaggeration on the centre of the green.

5th Hole Par 4 - 388 meters

There are two elevated tee boxes. For this hole I will be describing the approach from the competition tee which is on the right hand side. A fade tee-off is favoured to set up the second shot to a green which is guarded by bunkers on the right and back, and a pond to the left. The tee shot should not stray too much to the right as there is a tree on the right of the fairway that may hinder the approach shot. The second shot plays to another kidney shaped green which may pose problems if pin is placed on the far left corner of the green. The green breaks mildly from back to front with a slight tilt to the right.
