SPOUSES & CHILDREN OF DECEASED ORDINARY MEMBERS
Pursuant To Article 36;

* Subject hereto there shall be created a new class of membership specifically applicable to spouses and children of Deceased Ordinary Members.

PRIVILEGES

  • A member under this class shall enjoy all the rights and privileges of membership of the Club except that he/she shall have no voice or vote in the affairs or management of the Club nor shall he/she be eligible to propose or second any application for membership to the Club or in any election of the Club’s Committee. He/she is also not eligible to sign in guests to the Club, except for F&B facilities.
  • Such members shall be issued with a special membership number and card for use of the Club facilities.


QUALIFICATION

  • Must have been registered by the deceased member at lease five (5) years before the date of his/her death;
  • A valid documentary evidence of his/her death shall be produced;
  • All outstanding debts due to the Club by the deceased member must have been settled.


ADMISSION & FEE

  • Qualified spouses may then submit their application not later than 3 months of the date of death, to the Club in the normal manner.
  • A processing fee of RM10 is chargeable on application.


SUBSCRIPTION

  • A person admitted under this By-Law shall pay the same monthly subscription as that payable by the Ordinary Member of the Club which shall be due on the first day of the period in respect of which it is payable. If the deceased member was a senior member, the ordinary member monthly subscription shall apply unless she has reached the age of 70 and above when she will be exempted from such payment.


SPECIAL PROVISION

  • A privileged person admitted under this By-Law shall, under pain of being expelled, notify the Club immediately upon becoming remarried.
  • A privileged person admitted under this By-Law shall cease to be so and removed from the Register of Privileged Persons:-

    - In the event of his/her remarriage
    - If he/she resigns
    - If elected and accepted honorary membership of the Club
    - If elected as an Ordinary Member of the Club 
    - In the event of his/her death


GENERAL

  • Privileged Persons shall be bound by the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Club and its By-Laws and other Regulations for the time being in force.
  • Every Privileged Person shall be subject to the control of the Committee and shall conform to the lawful requirement and discretion of the Committee.
  • The Committee shall have the power to withdraw from a Privileged Person either for a definite period or permanently, all or any of the privileges accorded to such a person if in the opinion of the Committee the person is guilty of a breach of any of the provisions of the Memorandum and Articles of Association or any By-Laws or Regulations for the time being in force.

CHILDREN OF DECEASED MEMBERS

  • Children of deceased members whose spouses have been admitted under this By-Law as Privileged Persons may be permitted the use of the Club’s amenities and facilities provided they had been registered with the Club by the deceased member at least five(5) years before his/her death.
  • For the above propose children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by the Privileged Person concerned whilst those aged between12 and 18 will on application be issued with special cards which will have to be produced on demand when in the Club’s premises and using its facilities.
  • All children admitted under this By-Law are also bound by Regulation (vii) above and the Privileged Persons concerned shall be held responsible and accountable for all actions and for any breach of the Club’s Rules and Regulations by any of the children under their charge.
  • Children referred to under this By-Law shall cease to be accorded the privileges afore-mentioned upon reaching the age of 18 years or termination of the membership of the privileged Person concerned whichever is the earlier.

* All persons who had previously been admitted under By-Law 22 which had since been rescinded shall henceforth be covered by this By-Law.

AKCC & SIGC
The first 20 members are entitled to full reciprocal per year. The rest are charged 50% Green Fees per round.
